A couple months ago, one of our kids got sick on a A couple months ago, one of our kids got sick on an overnight trip and I felt so unprepared. When I got home, I pulled together a travel first aid kit I could grab for road trips, hotel stays, or anytime we’re away from home. Here’s what I included in mine: Pain Management: • Kids Tylenol and Ibuprofen • Adult Tylenol and Ibuprofen • Eli’s lidocaine cream (prescribed for port access if needed) Cold and Allergy: • Kids Zyrtec • Saline Mist, Nose sucker, and boogie wipes Cough: • Kids cough medicine • Vicks VapoRub • Cough drops Nausea: • Dramamine • Barf Bags • Zofran (prescribed for Eli) Bandages: • Variety of sized bandages • Bacitracin • Alcohol Prep Wipes Medical Tools: • Thermometer • O2 reader • Syringes and medicine cups General: • Melatonin Gummies • Laxative Powder • Additional medication specific to our family’s needs, i.e. Eli’s chemo This is what works for our family, but every family is different—what would you add to your travel first aid kit?
