Resurrection Rolls
A sweet and symbolic baking Easter tradition that helps teach the Easter story—while making a delicious treat!
We used a package of premade crescent roll dough and large marshmallows. As we told the Easter story, each child got a triangle of dough. We talked about how Jesus (the marshmallow) was placed in the tomb (the dough), then we sealed the dough around the marshmallow and baked the rolls. Make sure the dough is sealed well!
When the rolls came out of the oven, the marshmallows had melted, leaving an empty space inside—just like the empty tomb. It was simple, fun, and meaningful for the kids!
We also sprinkled cinnamon sugar all over them as well…yummy!

Time Period Based Easter Charcuterie Board
Create a snack board to celebrate with family and friends all centered on food that would’ve been around during the life of Christ! This is one of our favorite Easter traditions around Christmas time, but we think it can easily cross over into beginning your Easter celebrations. Here are a few ideas to get you started…
Eggs – 4 hard boiled
Pita bread – divided into smaller pieces
Olives – 1 ½ cups
Cucumbers – 12 oz , thinly sliced.
Tomatoes, cherry or grape – 1 ½ cups , halved.
Goat cheese – 6 oz.
Capers – 2 Tbsp, drained
Apricots – 2 , sliced
Hummus – one container
Lay out the blankets in the family room or make it a meal outside to really get into the theme of living like the past!
