Stitching Together Our Favorites: September Edition
September has flown by with back to school routines, the first cool mornings, and plenty of time in the kitchen. We are stitching together the little things that have made the last month a bit brighter around here. These are our September favorites, from spice blends and kitchen upgrades to a quiet time playlist and a jar of pickles (yes, really).

Grace’s Favorite: Rani Garam Masala Spice Blend
We love Indian food at our home, and I’m super lucky to be married to Ben, who is a foodie and a chef at heart who researches a lot of recipes for our family. We use this garam masala spice blend for an Indian butter chicken recipe, and it’s truly the heart of the recipe.
Emma’s Favorite: CAROTE 12-Piece Knife Set
I finally accepted that we needed new knives when I almost chopped off my finger for the tenth time with the ceramic knives we’d had for over ten years. Enter this beautiful Carote knife set for about $20. I don’t have a lot of counter space, so our knives live in a drawer, and these have been the best addition to our kitchen. Incredibly functional, beautiful, and affordable.
Eliza’s Favorites: A Disney Storytime Playlist + Frozen Cookie Dough
The Disney Storytime playlist on Spotify has all your Disney favorites. We’ve been using it on repeat during quiet time and it’s been great! It’s also perfect for car rides.
I’m also grateful to my past self for making our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and freezing the extra dough. It’s been the perfect pick me up this last month!
Faith’s Favorite: Meoky 24 oz Cups with Lids and Straws
I was gifted these when I taught school and I love them! They are perfect for a drink around the house (video coming soon!) or for water on your bedside table. I also think they would make the perfect gift for friends or your child’s teacher. Fill one with drink packets or treats and a gift card, and you’re ready to go!
Lucy’s Favorite: Pickles!
Pickles! I’ve been obsessing over pickles this past month and am just grateful for them, haha.
Hope’s Favorite: Trader Joe’s Lemony Arugula Basil Salad Kit
This salad kit has been on repeat at our house! It comes with peppery arugula, shredded Parmesan, crunchy carrots, roasted almonds, and a bright basil lemon vinaigrette. Just toss it all together and you have a fresh side in seconds. It’s perfect next to pasta, pizza night, or whatever is on the grill, and at under $4 it’s an easy grab on every Trader Joe’s run.
