Easy Weekly Meal Plan Ideas for Busy Families
One thing that has helped me so much lately is having a loose dinner plan for the week. Nothing overly strict or complicated, just a simple idea of what we’re making so I’m not staring into the fridge at 5 pm wondering what to feed everyone.
This week’s easy weekly meal plan is full of simple meals that feel fresh, flavorful, and realistic for busy family life. A good mix of homemade dinners and easy shortcut meals which feels like the sweet spot for this season of life.
Memorial Day BBQ: Harvest Apple Salad

For our Memorial Day BBQ, I’m making the Harvest Apple Salad from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe and it is SO good. It’s hearty enough to feel filling while still being fresh and summery. The apples, dressing, and toppings together are such a good combination.

Tuesday: Thai Chicken Bowls

These have become one of our family favorites lately. They’re packed with flavor, customizable, and make great leftovers the next day too. I love meals where everyone can build their own bowl depending on what toppings they like.

Wednesday: Salmon Bowls

I’m making the salmon bowls from Taste Better From Scratch and they are such a good easy dinner option. They feel healthy, filling, and come together pretty quickly which is always a win during busy weeks.

Thursday: Costco Pizza
And then of course… Costco pizza night because balance.
Sometimes the best meal plan tip is knowing when to not cook. We usually pair it with fruit or a simple salad and call it good.
I always love seeing what other families are making during the week too, so if you have any easy dinner staples lately send them my way because I’m always looking for new ideas.
We also have these Sheet Pan Fajitas on repeat if you’re looking for another quick meal option!
