Italian Soda (Easy Homemade Recipe)
Italian sodas hold a tender spot in our hearts. Our beloved Aunt Emily always had the supplies on hand, with every flavor of syrup you could imagine, ready to mix one up at a moment’s notice. Now, every time we make them, we think of her.
This raspberry version is creamy, fizzy, and the prettiest shade of pink, which makes it perfect for a Halloween party, a sleepover, or any random day for that matter. Kids love making their own, and grown-ups do too!

How to Make a Raspberry Italian Soda
Makes 1 drink (about 12 oz).
- Fill a glass about halfway with ice.

- Add about 1 cup of cold club soda.
- Top with 2 tablespoons of half and half and watch it swirl down into the soda.
- Give it a stir right before sipping.
Why We Love This Italian Soda
It is ready in two minutes, it is endlessly customizable, and it looks like a drink from a cute little cafe. We set out the syrups and let everyone mix their own flavor combo.
Tips
- Add the half and half last and pour slowly for those pretty swirls.
- Like it sweeter? Add another splash of syrup. Less sweet? More club soda.
- Try whipped cream on top instead of half and half for a dessert version.
- Other combos we love: strawberry and vanilla, or coconut and lime.
