5 Family Dinner Ideas to Make This Week
Another week, another round of figuring out what everyone is going to eat for dinner.
If meal planning is one of those things that somehow comes around way too fast every week, here are five more dinners to steal for your own meal plan.

This week’s lineup is full of easy family dinner ideas: classic crunchy tacos, spaghetti and homemade meatballs, Korean beef bowls loaded with toppings, our BBQ pork sliders, and one of our favorite enchilada recipes.
As always, these aren’t meant to be a perfectly curated five-course menu. They’re just five dinners we’d happily make for our own families and pass along when someone asks, What are you making for dinner this week?
So, before you make your grocery list, here are five ideas to add to it.
1. Classic Beef Tacos

Starting the week with a dinner that requires very little convincing: classic beef tacos.
These are simple in the best possible way. Seasoned ground beef goes into warm, crunchy taco shells and gets topped with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, or whatever else your family likes. The beef is seasoned from scratch with chili powder, cumin, garlic, tomato paste, and onion, so you don’t even need a taco seasoning packet.
We’d put out all the toppings and let everyone build their own.
Serve it with: Chips and salsa, guacamole, fresh fruit, corn, or black beans.
2. Spaghetti + Homemade Meatballs

Next up, spaghetti and meatballs because sometimes the classics really are the best.
We’re using Gimme Some Oven’s baked meatball recipe, which combines ground beef and pork with Parmesan, garlic, onion, herbs, and seasonings. They’re baked instead of fried, which makes the actual cooking part especially easy. Toss them with your favorite marinara and spaghetti and you’re set.
Even better, the meatballs freeze well, so this is a great recipe to double and stash half away for another dinner.
Serve it with: Garlic bread and a simple green or Caesar salad. Full meatball recipe here!
3. Easy Korean Beef Bowls

This is our change-it-up dinner for the week.
These Korean beef bowls have flavorful ground beef over rice with crunchy slaw and a creamy, spicy garlic sauce. Add cucumber, avocado, cilantro, and lime and you have the kind of bowl dinner where every bite has a little something different going on.
They’re also another great build-your-own dinner. Put everything out separately and everyone can decide exactly what goes into their bowl. You can even use bagged coleslaw mix to cut down on prep.
Serve it with: Honestly, it’s pretty much a complete meal on its own. We’d just pile on the toppings and call it good. Check out the full recipe HERE!
4. BBQ Pork Sliders

These BBQ pork sliders are one of our own recipes and such a good one to have in your back pocket.
Tender slices of pork get coated in a sweet, tangy BBQ sauce and piled onto rolls for a dinner that’s easy, filling, and very family friendly. We originally learned this one as a large-family vacation meal, so the blog post includes both a regular family-size version and instructions for feeding a crowd.
And if you happen to have people coming over this week, this is the one we’d pick.
Serve it with: Coleslaw, fruit, a green salad, chips, or roasted potatoes.
5. Honey Lime Enchiladas

Finishing the week with honey lime enchiladas.
The filling has that really good sweet-and-tangy combination from honey and fresh lime, along with chili powder and garlic. Roll it into tortillas, add enchilada sauce and cheese, and bake until everything is hot and melty. The recipe works with chicken or pork, too.
This is also a great one to assemble ahead of time if you know you’ve got a busy evening coming.
Serve it with: Rice, black beans, chips and salsa, or a simple salad. FULL RECIPE HERE!
