Marshmallow Ghost Chocolate Milk: An Easy Halloween Drink for Kids
Some Halloween treats take an afternoon. This one takes about five minutes, and our kids still talk about it! A swipe of marshmallow creme inside a clear cup turns into a little ghost the second you pour in the chocolate milk. It’s basically a magic trick you can drink.

What You’ll Need
- Clear plastic cups (Amazon)
- Marshmallow creme (Target)
- Chocolate milk (Target)
- Black permanent marker, for the face on the OUTSIDE of the cup (Amazon)
- A spoon or small butter knife

How to Make Ghost Chocolate Milk
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of marshmallow creme onto the back of a spoon.
- Smear it on the inside wall of a clear cup in a ghost shape: a rounded head on top and a wavy, drippy bottom. Messy edges look extra spooky!
- Flip the cup over and use the marker on the outside of the cup to draw two eyes and an “O” mouth right over the ghost.
- Slowly pour cold chocolate milk into the cup for some spoooooky magic.
- Serve right away with a spoon so kids can scrape up the marshmallow at the end.

Why We Love This Halloween Drink
It uses things you probably already have, the kids can help with every step, and the chocolate milk makes that white ghost pop. It is also a fun way to make an ordinary after-school snack feel like a party. For extra fun, add some whipped cream on top!
Tips for the Best Ghosts
- Clear cups matter! The ghost only shows through a see-through cup.
- Draw the face on the outside only, never inside where it touches the drink.
- A spoon can make this extra fun because they can scoop the creme off as they drink it.
