Blueberry Eyeball Ice Cubes: A Spooky Cranberry Halloween Drink
If you want a Halloween drink that makes everyone at the table do a double take, this is it! Freeze blueberries in little ice cubes and they turn into floating eyeballs staring up out of a glass of deep red cranberry juice. It is creepy in the best way, and it takes almost zero effort.
A quick safety note: whole blueberries and small ice cubes are a choking hazard for little ones. For toddlers and kids under 5, cut the blueberries in half, skip the eyeball cubes, use crushed ice and always supervise while they sip.

What You’ll Need
- A small round ice cube tray with a lid (Amazon)
- Fresh blueberries
- Water
- 100% cranberry juice blend (Target)
- Glasses (we love these ghost glasses: Target | Amazon)
How to Make Eyeball Ice Cubes
- Rinse the blueberries and drop one into each cup of the ice cube tray.
- Fill the tray with water, pop on the lid, and freeze for at least 4 hours (overnight is easiest).
- Fill each glass with a handful of eyeball ice cubes.
- Pour the cranberry juice over the top and watch the eyeballs float up.
Why We Love This Halloween Drink
The contrast of the red juice and the pale ice with a dark blueberry in the middle really does look like eyeballs. The cubes can be made days ahead, so it is perfect for a party or a Halloween night dinner.
Tips
- Make a double batch. Kids love to fish the blueberries out and eat them as the ice melts.
- Want it fizzy? Top the juice with sparkling water or lemon-lime soda.
- No cranberry juice? Grape juice or fruit punch works great too.
